Is the departure of residents of Jeddah to Makkah for Hajj on the eighth of Dhul-Hijjah considered a single journey that necessitates Hajj at-Tamattu‘, and is it permissible to perform Hajj with the husband's money with his consent?

First: Tamattu' is to enter into the state of ihram for 'Umrah during the months of Hajj, then to exit from it (the state of ihram), and then to enter into the state of ihram for Hajj in the same year, with the obligation of offering a sacrificial animal (Hady).

Second: Returning to one's country of residence after performing 'Umrah severs the Tamattu' state. The pilgrim then becomes a "mufrid" (one performing Hajj al-Ifrad) and is not obligated to offer a sacrificial animal, according to the majority of jurists. This is the relied-upon opinion for fatwa and practice.

Third: It is permissible to perform Hajj at the expense of another, and the one who sponsors it will be rewarded for their assistance.
