How can one be sure that what the sheikh whom he trusts says about the creed is truly what he believes, and is it sufficient to believe what the sheikh says as long as he follows the Salaf, despite an inner doubt about what is in theikh's heart? And does fearing Allah's invocation to enter Hell if I am a liar in my faith mean that I doubt the creed? And how do I deal with these doubts? And is it obligatory to invoke entry into Hell to prove the soundness of the creed?

The common person and the beginner in seeking knowledge must refer to trustworthy scholars in matters of their religion, for they are the ones attested to possessing knowledge of the Book and Sunnah and righteousness. It is not permissible to rely on the fatwas of others. The truthfulness of a scholar is known by their adherence to Allah's law, and far-fetched possibilities that stir doubts should not be heeded.

Allah guides whom He wills and leads astray whom He wills. Whoever is worthy of guidance, He guides, and whoever chooses evil, Allah leads him astray as a punishment. A person may outwardly perform the deeds of the people of Paradise, but their corrupt inner self destroys them.

A Muslim should strive to advance in seeking religious knowledge, read tafsirs (Quranic commentaries) and explanations of the Sunnah, and search for the most preponderant opinion that conforms to the Book and Sunnah, while acknowledging that every person makes mistakes and gets things right.

Demanding that one's words, actions, and beliefs align is good, but a Muslim should not enter into a struggle with themselves by following the whispers of Satan or supplicating for torment upon themselves. Rather, they should learn the correct belief and strive to rectify their belief and act upon what they have learned, and they should seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan and stop indulging in whispers.
