Is it permissible to let one's garment drag (isbal) at home as adornment for one's wife, knowing that isbal is forbidden?

It is desirable for a husband to adorn himself for his wife, and for a wife to adorn herself for her husband. Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, said: "Indeed, I love to adorn myself for my wife just as I love for her to adorn herself for me." And Allah Almighty says: (And due to them [the wives] is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable). However, adornment must be permissible. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prohibited Isbal (letting one's garment hang below the ankles), and it was reported about it: "There are three whom Allah will not speak to on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He look at them, nor will He purify them, and they will have a painful torment." Among them, he mentioned "the Isbil." And he said: "Allah will not look at one who drags his garment out of pride." Scholars have agreed on the prohibition of Isbal when done out of pride, but they differed on Isbal when not done out of pride. Therefore, it is advisable to be cautious and pious, and to adorn oneself for one's wife in ways that are unanimously permissible.
