Is it permissible to write the name of Allah (lafz al-jalalah) on the the forehead of a newborn on the day of the 'Aqiqah or during the first week?

It is not prescribed to write the majestic word (Allah) on the forehead of a newborn, in order to keep His — exalted be He — name free from degradation. Sheikh Ibn Baz was asked about this matter and he answered: "It is not permissible to write the names of Allah on a child, nor on anyone else, nor on clothes, nor on furnishings; in order to keep Allah's name free and to show respect for it."
