What should I do with the Shiite books that I own and that contain the names of Allah and verses from the Qur’an? And how do I dispose of them? And how do I deal with the whispers of Satan that try to compare the attributes of the Imams with the attributes of Allah, and make me doubt the essence of Allah and Islam? And how do we respond to disbelievers who use the answered prayers as proof of the truthfulness of their beliefs, or as proof that Muslims are not unique in having their prayers answered?

First: Deliver Shiite books to trustworthy preachers and students of knowledge if they need them to refute their arguments. Otherwise, destroy them by burning, burying, or tearing them in a way that leaves no trace of Quranic verses or the word "Allah."

Second: Waswas (whispers/obsessive thoughts) are common for a believer and can be overcome by seeking refuge and assistance from Allah, frequent remembrance of Allah, self-control, immersion in worship, and abundant recourse to Allah through supplication.

Third: Supplication is of two types: supplication of worship (through various acts of worship) and supplication of request (asking for benefit or warding off harm).

Fourth: The supplication of disbelievers to other than Allah is misguidance and polytheism. Their supplication to Allah may be answered for certain wisdoms, such as establishing proof against them, removing harm from those wronged among them, or manifesting His generosity, the Almighty.

Fifth: Allah's answering the supplication of disbelievers does not mean His love for them or His pleasure with their religion; rather, it may be a gradual enticement (istidraj).

Sixth: The answer to the supplication of disbelievers is often the fulfillment of some worldly matters, whereas the answer to the supplication of a Muslim is by granting him what he asked for, or averting evil from him, or saving it for him in the Hereafter.
