Is it permissible to feed fasting people in the mosque from the expiation for Dhihar, and what is the required amount of money to feed each poor person in Saudi Arabia?

The one who commits ẓihār against his wife is obligated to perform one of three things, in order: freeing a slave; if he cannot find one, then fasting for two consecutive months; if he is unable to do that, then feeding sixty poor people. The feeding is not sufficient unless he is unable to free a slave or fast.

It is obligatory to feed sixty poor people, not merely fasting individuals unless they are also poor. The more cautious approach is to give each poor person the obligatory amount of the expiation in ownership, and giving them lunch or dinner is not sufficient according to the majority of scholars.

As for the sufficient amount for the expiation, there is a difference of opinion. The more cautious approach is that of the Hanafis, which is to give out half a ṣāʿ (approximately one and a half kilograms) of food, the value of which is estimated according to the country and type of food.
