How is the inheritance of a sterile man who died before his wife to be divided, knowing that he has a living sister, another sister who died before him, and a brother who died before him but has children, given that the verse at the end of Surat An-Nisa indicates that a sister receives half the inheritance, so to whom does the other half go?

If the heirs are as mentioned, then the living sister receives half of the inheritance, and the remainder goes to the males among her brother's sons by ta'sib (agnatic succession), based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Give the prescribed shares to those who are entitled to them, and what remains is for the nearest male agnate." It must be noted that the matter of inheritances is serious and complex, and a mere fatwa is not sufficient. Rather, it must be referred to Sharia courts for review and investigation, as there might be another heir, or wills, or debts, or other rights that take precedence over the heirs' entitlement.
