What is the authenticity of the story of Ka’b al-Ahbar’s narration to Abu Hurayrah regarding Abraham’s attempt to sacrifice Isaac, Satan’s attempt to tempt them, and Isaac’s redemption with the great sacrifice, and can the isnad of this hadith be judged as authentic despite it being from the words of Ka’b al-Ahbar?

The correct view is that the sacrificed one was Ishmael, peace be upon him, and the assertion that it was Isaac is false for more than twenty reasons. This notion was received from the People of the Book, who distorted it out of envy, because the rituals and sacrifices take place in Mina, where Ishmael was, not Isaac. Furthermore, none of the narrations and hadiths that mention Isaac as the sacrificed one are authentic; all of them are weak.
