Does a woman's body being exposed in the news fall under the two-day fasting vow I made whenever I looked at nude pictures, and does my inability to count the times or remember my intention at the time affect the ruling on the vow?

Looking at unveiled women in news broadcasts is forbidden. The vow mentioned is one of obstinacy and anger, and its ruling is like that of an oath. Therefore, it is not obligatory to fulfill it. Rather, the one who made the vow has the choice, according to the majority of scholars, between performing the vowed act or offering expiation for the oath. Both are equal in merit. The reference for determining what the vow includes, in the absence of the swearer's intention, is the reason for the oath. If the motive for the oath was looking at explicit, naked, sexual images, then it is apparent that looking at female anchors in news broadcasts does not fall under the vow. A Muslim is not held accountable for mistakes, for Allah has lifted from this Ummah [the burden of] mistakes and forgetfulness.
