Is it permissible to draw a nearly complete face for the purpose of expressing the issues of the Muslim nation, showing one eye, a nose, and a smiling mouth, along with some blood, while avoiding showing the body, neck, or skull? And is it permissible to draw the faces of masked resistance fighters, showing only their eyes?

Scholars have differed regarding the ruling on drawing an incomplete image. The preponderant opinion is that it is permissible and there is no harm in it, especially if the incompleteness is in a limb without which life cannot be sustained, such as the head. This is the view of the Malikis, Hanbalis, and Shafi’is. It is also permissible to draw a face if its features are not clear (e.g., if it is veiled) because it does not imitate Allah's creation.
