What is the interpretation of Allah’s Almighty saying: "By those [winds] scattering [dust] with scattering, And those [clouds] carrying heavy burden, And those [ships] flowing with ease, And those [angels] apportioning a matter"?

"Al-Dhāriyāt" (the winnowing winds) are the winds that stir up dust, "Al-Ḥāmilāt Wiqran" (the bearers of heavy burden) are the clouds laden with water, "Al-Jāriyāt Yusrā" (the ships that glide with ease) are the ships that move easily in the sea, and "Al-Muqassimāt Amrā" (the distributors of command) are the angels who distribute commands. This interpretation has been narrated from Umar, Ali, Ibn Abbas, Mujahid, and Al-Hasan, and it has been authentically established from Ali through multiple chains of transmission.
