What is the trust that man alone carried, to the exclusion of all other creatures, and it is neither the religious obligations, nor the conscious intellect, nor prayer, as these apply to other than the Children of Adam?

The implication of the word (Al-Insan) is not limited to humans (Bani Adam) only, but also includes jinn, either literally or metaphorically. Al-Biqa'i and others have explained that the word "An-Nas" (people) includes both humans and jinn. Jurists have affirmed that the use of the word "An-Nas" for jinn is considered literal by some linguists and metaphorical by others, and that every word used is either literal or metaphorical. Accordingly, the verse does not indicate that religious obligation is exclusive to humans (Bani Adam), as jinn are also obligated.
