Why does the believing soul suffer the agony and pain of death, even though the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, described the departure of the soul as being like a drop from a waterskin, and the two black-blue angels come to it in the grave? Does Allah deal with us in a difficult manner that requires very precise worship? And why do you portray death in such a terrifying and frightening way, and reject intercession through the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and excommunicate Sufism in its entirety?

The shaykhs who mention death are not afflicted by its fear; rather, the problem lies with the questioner, and this may be due to psychological illnesses. Remembering death refines the soul, protects it from greed, and alleviates the burdens of life. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Increase your remembrance of the destroyer of pleasures, for no one remembers it in hardship except that Allah eases it for him, and no one remembers it in ease except that it becomes difficult for him."

Obedience to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and his Companions is obligatory, because they witnessed the revelation and their understanding of the texts is superior. Allah has commanded us to follow their path, as He says: "And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We will turn him to what he has turned to and send him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination."

The claim that Allah treats humans as if worship must be precise to the millimeter is nonsense, caused by psychological illness. We only invite to what the texts have brought and prohibit extremism and exaggeration. Misunderstanding makes some people think that adherence to religion is rigidity, so they lean towards those who agree with their whims.

The Sufis do not differ concerning death and its agonies, and emotional love for the Prophet and his household is not enough without following his methodology in creed and conduct. Allah says: "Say, [O Muhammad], 'If you should love Allah, then follow me, and Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.'" Sufis have doctrinal deviations, innovations, and superstitions.

Whoever walks on the straight path will have his life concluded with a righteous deed, and will see the angels of mercy at his death, and will be in comfort and light in the grave. Allah says: "And do not die except while you are Muslims."

We do not declare Sufis individually to be disbelievers; rather, we mention what has been proven by evidence to lead to disbelief, and declaring individuals to be disbelievers has its regulations. Sufis are more prone to declaring their opponents as disbelievers and misguiding them.

The statement that people will remain for about seven hundred years after the resurrection until Allah manifests Himself and judges between creation has no evidence. However, it is established that the Day of Judgment will be fifty thousand years long, but it will be eased for the believer, becoming lighter for him than a prescribed prayer.

There is permissible intercession and prohibited intercession, such as intercession by the status of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and there is disagreement among scholars regarding it. Supplicating to the dead and seeking their help is a form of polytheism with Allah Almighty.
