What is your advice to us for getting rid of disturbing dreams and the sensation of air penetrating the ear, and the lingering effects of being bound, despite our commitment to worship and Ruqyah?
We recommend that the questioner seek help from Allah the Almighty and rely on Him, for He is the best Protector and the Most Merciful. Allah the Almighty said: "Is not Allah sufficient for His Servant?" and "And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him."
We offer him advice to ward off the evil eye, magic, and possession by jinn:
Firstly: Beware of whispers and delusions, for they weaken Tawhid (monotheism) and reliance on Allah. The one afflicted by magic contributes to his own suffering by his heart's attachment to the affliction. Secondly: Use legal ruqyahs and incantations, such as reciting Al-Mu'awwidhatayn (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas), Al-Fatiha, Ayah Al-Kursy, and the prophetic supplications like: "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created," with sincere devotion to Allah the Almighty. Thirdly: Treatment for magic and the evil eye. For details on the signs of affliction and methods of treatment, one can refer to relevant fatwas. Fourthly: Beware of charlatans and sorcerers, for whoever believes them has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad. Fifthly: Adhere to Allah's religion outwardly and inwardly, for "Guard Allah, and Allah will guard you." Most of the dominance of evil spirits results from a lack of religious commitment and corrupted hearts. A believer conquers his devil with the strength of his faith.
