Must the fasting for an expiation for accidental killing be completed after being interrupted due to pregnancy, or must it be resumed anew?

If a fasting person begins a fast that requires continuity, such as the fast for expiation of Dhihar or accidental killing, its continuity is not broken if they break their fast due to an excuse like menstruation, postpartum bleeding (nifas), illness, or travel. The same applies to pregnancy if it is accompanied by illness or if breaking the fast is out of fear for oneself or the fetus. However, if one breaks the fast without a valid excuse, the continuity is severed, and they must resume the fast anew.
