Does masturbation deprive a person of the progeny and cause torment to women?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Masturbation is forbidden by the Qur’an and Sunnah, based on the Almighty’s saying: "And those who guard their private parts Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors." And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O young men, whoever among you can afford to marry, let him do so, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding the private parts. And whoever cannot afford it, let him fast, for it will be a shield for him." Practicing it is an act of disobedience to Allah, the Most Blessed, the Most High, and it has severe health consequences, including weakening sexual desire after marriage, and its effect on erection and premature ejaculation. Abandoning this sin in Ramadan, by the blessing of fasting, is a divine grace, and one must firmly resolve not to return to it.
