What is the ruling on one who says: "This marriage has caused me troubles"?
If marriage causes difficulties for a person, then there is no sin in his saying so. However, if it does not, then his saying so is a forbidden lie, unless there is a legitimate religious justification. There is no harm in attributing difficulties to marriage as a cause, while believing that Allah is the ultimate Causer. All hardships that befall a servant are due to what their hands have earned, as confirmed by His exalted saying: "And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is because of what your hands have earned, and He pardons much."
