Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to start her own business project aimed at enabling Muslim women to work from their homes and care for their children, in order to avoid working in regular companies and mixing [with men], with the intention of employing other Muslim women and helping the Ummah?

If the business venture is based on permissible work and is not accompanied by any prohibitions such as usurious borrowing or intermingling [of sexes], then there is no harm in it. If its aim is to encourage Muslim women to establish their own businesses to avoid going out and intermingling [with men], then it is a beneficial and rewardable act.

The fundamental principle regarding a woman's earning and trading is permissibility, as indicated by the Sharia texts. However, it is not permissible for her to trade if it exposes her to unveiling her forbidden adornments, or her traveling without a mahram, or her intermingling with non-mahram men in a way that is feared to lead to fitna.
