What is the explanation of the Hadith: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) narrated to us two hadiths, one of which I have seen and I am awaiting the other: He narrated to us: that trustworthiness descended into the depths of men's hearts, then they learned from the Qur'an, then they learned from the Sunnah. And he narrated to us concerning its removal, saying: A man sleeps a slumber, and trustworthiness is taken from his heart..."?

Trustworthiness (Amanah) was originally descended into the core of men's hearts, then they learned the Quran and Sunnah, and it is an innate disposition. The removal of trustworthiness from hearts occurs gradually due to sins and deviation from the Sacred Law, leaving an intensifying impact until the heart becomes devoid of faith. This deficiency leads to the spread of distrust in dealings, and people begin to distinguish an individual not by their righteousness but by their appearance and power, as Hudhayfah, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the situation changed from a time when one would trust both Muslim and disbeliever due to the presence of deterrents, to a time when one would only deal with someone whose trustworthiness they could rely on.
