The resolution of the Islamic Fiqh Academy explicitly states the prohibition of transforming a complete male or female into the other gender, considering it a crime and an alteration of Allah's creation. As for those who have characteristics of both sexes (hermaphrodites), their predominant condition is considered, and medical treatment to resolve the ambiguity is permissible.

Regarding aid from charitable organizations: - There is no objection to individually assisting a needy transgender person. - A charitable organization is not permitted to announce a program to assist transgender individuals, as this involves spreading corruption, encouraging deviation, and preparing society to accept them. The principle is to reject such behavior and restrict those who engage in it. - If the organization wishes to work in this area, its goal should be to warn against this act and explain its dangers, and to strive to eliminate this evil and correct the error. - It is permissible to assist a needy individual from this group privately and individually, away from public announcements or dedicating a specific program for them, in order to avert harm.
