Will those closest to Allah have the highest stations in Paradise, and what are their characteristics and recompense, and is it possible to reach their status?

The Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah) are the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. Among their characteristics are steadfastness in Allah's religion, drawing closer to Him through obligatory acts and supererogatory deeds, and abstaining from forbidden things, disliked things, and some permissible things. They are the first to go to the mosque and the first to go out for jihad. Their reward is: "Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a Garden of Pleasure." One can attain their elevated stations by performing deeds like theirs and acquiring their characteristics.
