Gold prepared for adornment is not subject to zakat, according to the majority of scholars. If it is among a woman's customary essential needs, she is not required to sell it for Hajj, because Hajj is obligatory only for those who are able, with wealth exceeding their essential needs. However, if it exceeds her essential needs, then she must sell what is sufficient from it for Hajj.
