What is the way to deal with a stubborn wife who abandons the marital bed, boycotts conversation, and leaves without permission during disputes, knowing that she is good under normal circumstances? And is it permissible for the husband to ask her for financial assistance if his salary is not enough to cover household expenses, given that her salary is four times his, and he is not pleased with her work but is compelled to accept it?

A husband's rights over his wife are great, and she must obey him. The household expenses are the husband's responsibility, not the wife's. If she gives, it is out of kindness and she will be rewarded for it. It is forbidden for the wife to leave her husband's house without his permission, or to spend the night while her husband is displeased with her; as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There are three whose prayers do not rise above their ears: a runaway slave until he returns, a woman who spends the night while her husband is displeased with her, and an imam of a people who dislike him."
