What is the best supplication during Hajj and where should it be recited? And which is better: Hajj Al-Qiran, Al-Ifrad, or Al-Tamattu', and how is each performed in detail?

It is advisable to refer to concise manuals of rituals (Manasik), such as those by Ibn Baz or Al-Uthaymeen. The Hanbalis are of the view that Tamattu' is superior, and this is the more probable opinion, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded his Companions to exit their ihram and turn their Hajj into 'Umrah. Among the confirmed times for supplication (Du'a) is the Day of 'Arafah, and the best supplication on this day is: "There is no god but Allah alone, without any partner; to Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise; in His hand is all good; and He is over all things competent." It is also recommended to supplicate during Tawaf, and between the Yamani Corner and the Black Stone, one should say: "Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire." Supplication is also recommended at Safa and Marwah, and at Muzdalifah, and after stoning the first and second Jamarat on the days of Tashreeq.
