Is a wife entitled to stipulate to her husband that her children should not get to know his new wife?

It is not the wife's right to impose any condition on her husband for her acceptance of his marriage to another woman. Almighty Allah has permitted him to do so, saying: (Then marry such women as seem good to you, two, three, or four; but if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one) [Quran 4:3], on the condition of justice. If the wife stipulated at the time of the marriage contract that he should not marry another woman, she has the right not to remain with him, but his marriage to the other woman is valid. This condition may lead to a prohibited outcome, which is preventing the children from communicating, potentially leading to the severing of kinship ties. Allah Almighty says: (And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression) [Quran 5:2]. The motive for this condition is often jealousy, and the wife should fear Allah, be patient, and fulfill her obligations.
