Is it permissible for a woman to supplicate that she be given to drink from the hand of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on the Day of Resurrection, a drink after which she will never thirst again?

Whoever drinks from the Basin of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, whether male or female, will never thirst again thereafter. Drinking will be either directly from the Basin or from its vessels. There are no narrations indicating that the drinking will be from the hand of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Therefore, a Muslim's supplication that Allah quench his thirst from the hand of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, might be considered an excess in supplication. What is legislated is to supplicate that Allah quench his thirst from the Basin of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with a drink after which he will never thirst. As for women drinking from the hand of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, it is not forbidden, because he possesses unique characteristics that do not apply to others, such as the permissibility of being in seclusion with a non-mahram woman and looking at her.
