Is it permissible for me to repent and seek forgiveness for my supplication against my relative who fell ill, and what should I do to feel at ease concerning her?

The majority of scholars hold that it is obligatory to seek forgiveness from the wronged person for intangible rights, based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "Whoever has wronged his brother concerning his honor or anything else, let him seek his forgiveness today." However, if it is highly probable that seeking forgiveness will harm the wronged person, then informing them is not obligatory. In this case, it is incumbent to seek Allah's forgiveness for the wronged person, supplicate for them, show kindness to them, and increase in good deeds. Seeking forgiveness is a condition for the validity of repentance from wrongs committed against people. Therefore, supplicating against someone unjustly is a wrong that necessitates repentance and seeking forgiveness. But if the person against whom the supplication is made has wronged you, then it is permissible to supplicate against them to the extent of their wrongdoing, though forgiveness is better.
