What is the ruling regarding a wife remaining in a house where her husband's brother, who drinks alcohol and harms her with his drinking, shares the residence, especially considering that the husband's father used to drink but then repented, and the wife has been very patient but can no longer endure it?

Drinking alcohol is a heinous sin, and its drinker is cursed. A private dwelling for the married couple must be provided because the wife's presence with the husband's brother in the same dwelling is a serious matter, especially if the husband's brother drinks alcohol. It is a door to temptation and harm, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The in-law is death." The dwelling must be isolated, even if it means not sharing facilities.
