Is a person considered a traveler — with regard to the rulings on prayer and fasting — if they train for six months in a city 300 kilometers away from their place of residence, while visiting their family every one or two weeks for two days, and then returning to the city of training?

You must complete the prayer if you will stay in a city for four days or more, as you are not considered a traveler according to the majority of scholars. You are also required to complete the prayer upon returning to the city where your family resides, even if you stay there for only two days, because whoever passes through a country where he has a wife does not shorten his prayer.
