Is the complication of travel for marriage a good sign to stay, or is holding on to it despite the obstacles, which is a matter of concern, better?

You must seek Allah's guidance (istikharah) and ask Him for success. The existence of obstacles to travel is not an indication of anything. If the young man is of good religious character and morals, do not hesitate to accept him.
