Is it considered disobedience to a parent (ʿuqūq) to avoid sitting with one's father due to his refusal to adhere to home quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic?

The father's going out of the house and being exposed to infection does not justify his children's shunning him, especially when he objects. The son must be gentle with his father and guide him kindly to the importance of staying at home, and seek help from wise relatives and acquaintances. If the father insists on going out, the son must take the necessary precautions without angering him, such as maintaining distance, wearing a mask, and using sanitizers, while maintaining remembrances (dhikr) and supplication (du'a), and seeking reward for his dutifulness to his father. A Muslim should be moderate in dealing with epidemics, by taking precautions and relying on Allah, for what has befallen him was not meant to miss him, and what has missed him was not meant to befall him.
