What is the ruling on fasting for someone who delays the Fajr prayer?

Performing prayers on time is one of the best deeds in the sight of Allah, and it is the first thing a servant will be held accountable for on the Day of Judgment. A Muslim must be diligent in performing them on time and adopt the means that assist in doing so. If one neglects this, they are sinful, but this does not affect the validity of their fasting.
