Is the name "Saa'il" for a newborn disliked in Islamic law?

The default rule regarding naming children is permissibility and lawfulness, except for what the Sharia has forbidden, such as names exclusive to Allah, or those that are only befitting for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, or any name that denotes servitude to other than Allah, or names of idols and devils. Likewise, repulsive names or those that suggest discord or sin are disliked.

It is incumbent upon the father to choose a good name for his son, for a name expresses the named and is called by it in this world and the hereafter.

As for naming a child "Sa'il" (صائل), it is disliked because "Sa'il" (الصائل) in both language and legal terminology means an aggressor without right, which is forbidden in Islamic law. Furthermore, a Muslim does not aggress against others or assault them without right. There are many good names that suffice without resorting to such names.
