What is the benefit of the expressions "and let them fear" (wa l-yakhshaw) and "fear" (khafu) in verse 9 of Surat An-Nisa, and are there simplified books for understanding the words of the Qur'an and the relationship between its verses?

The verse serves as an admonition to all people concerning the wealth of the vulnerable: orphans, women, and children. The use of the jussive imperfect verb ﴿يخش﴾ (yakhsha - should fear) differs from the past tense ﴿خافوا﴾ (khafoo - they feared) in that it denotes the renewal of fear and the entrenchment of apprehension.

Imam At-Tahir ibn Ashour stated that the admonition begins with the command to fear Allah, followed by instilling compassion in fathers towards their offspring. The object of ﴿يخش﴾ (yakhsha) is omitted to broaden the meaning, and the past tense verb ﴿تركوا﴾ (tarakoo - they left) metaphorically signifies the near occurrence of the event.

The verse addresses guardians and men who deprive women of inheritance, and it urges everyone to be angry for justice, combat injustice, protect the wealth of orphans, and safeguard the rights of the vulnerable.
