Will the parents be held accountable for their daughter not wearing the hijab, or will she alone be held accountable? And what is your advice to one who does not wear the hijab out of lack of conviction or to one who postpones wearing it until after marriage?

Allah has made it obligatory upon parents to teach and discipline their children, as Allah the Almighty says: "O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire," and as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "All of you are shepherds, and all of you are responsible for your flock." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, also commanded that children be ordered to pray at the age of seven and be disciplined for it at the age of ten. Scholars have analogously applied this to fasting, so that children become accustomed to obligations and refrain from forbidden acts. If parents fall short in commanding their daughters to wear hijab and forbidding them from adornment and unveiling, then they are negligent in their upbringing. Children are not held accountable before puberty. After puberty, responsibility falls upon them, and parents remain obligated to advise and guide.
