To what extent is a father responsible for guiding his children, and is it permissible for him to beat his daughter and deprive her of education for refusing to wear the prescribed Islamic dress?

The father is responsible for his household by teaching and disciplining them, enjoining what is good, and forbidding what is evil. This is based on the Almighty's saying: "O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire," and on the Messenger of Allah's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "The man is a guardian over his household and is responsible for his flock." He must teach his family matters of their religion and forbid them from what is impermissible for them. The responsibility for disciplining children differs between adults and minors, while observing the Sharia regulations and gentleness in reform. Hijab is an obligation on the Muslim woman, and the father must compel his daughter to wear it; it is not permissible for her to display her adornment. Advice must be given with truth and gentleness, not by describing hijab as trivial.
