Who is the judge: Isma'il al-Baghdadi al-Maliki?

Ismail al-Qadi is Imam, Shaykh al-Islam, al-Hafiz Abu Ishaq bin Ishaq bin Ismail al-Baghdadi al-Maliki. He authored many works and was the Shaykh and scholar of the Malikis in Iraq. He explained and defended the Maliki madhhab. He compiled the Musnad, Hadith Malik, Hadith Ayyub, the Muwatta, a book refuting Muhammad bin al-Hasan, Ahkam al-Quran, Ma’ani al-Quran wal-Qira’at, and others. He was born in the 199 AH and died suddenly in 282 AH.
