Are the good deeds a person does not accepted or do they remain suspended if he is not someone who prays?

According to those who hold that abandoning prayer is major disbelief (kufr akbar), the one who abandons it is judged as a disbeliever. He is rewarded for his deeds in this world with health and wealth. However, if he dies as a disbeliever, his deeds are rendered void, and he will not be rewarded for them in the Hereafter, based on the Almighty's saying: {And what prevented their contributions from being accepted from them except that they disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger...} (Qur'an 9:54), and {If you associate others with Allah, your work will surely become worthless, and you will surely be among the losers} (Qur'an 39:65), and {And We will approach what they did of deeds and make them as scattered dust} (Qur'an 25:23). Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said that disbelievers are rewarded for their good deeds in this world, but if they die in a state of disbelief, their deeds are nullified in the Hereafter. However, if they die in a state of faith, they will be rewarded for what they did while they were disbelievers, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying to Hakim ibn Hizam: "You have embraced Islam with your past good deeds."
