Is the mother sinful if her son refuses to divorce his wife, who is hostile towards his mother because of the mother's presence in his life, even though the mother does not wish for a divorce and desires her son's stability, even if that necessitates her distancing herself from him?

We commend your keenness to keep your son's family together despite the problems. We believe that the solution of living separately was appropriate to preserve the family and the child, provided that the son honored his mother. Now that the matter has reached divorce, do not blame yourself, for Allah says: (But if they separate [by divorce], Allah will enrich each of them from His abundance).
