Whoever has intercourse with his spouse during the daytime in must repent and offer expiation: freeing a slave. If unable, then fasting for two consecutive months for each day. If unable, then feeding sixty poor people for each day. If he cannot fast all the days, he must fast as many as he can. Feeding the poor is by giving a mudd of food (approximately 750 grams of rice) or a cooked, satisfying meal. It is permissible to distribute the feeding over several days. It is permissible to give the value of the food in cash if that is more beneficial for the poor person.
