What must the heirs do regarding their deceased father, and what must the mother do, after the latter admitted to having had intercourse with her deceased husband during daylight hours in Ramadan approximately 25-30 years ago, when she was ill and unwilling, and the father had repented at that time?

First: If the mother was forced to have intercourse during Ramadan (definition), she is not required to offer expiation. However, if she consented, she must make up the day and offer expiation, which is: freeing a slave. If she is unable to do so, then fasting for two consecutive months. If she is unable to do so, then feeding sixty poor people. Since she is unable to fast, she must feed sixty poor people.

Second: As for the father who passed away and was obligated to make up the day of intercourse and fast for two consecutive months, it is permissible for one of the heirs to fast on his behalf for two consecutive months, or you may feed a poor person for each day on his behalf. This feeding is an obligation to be paid from the estate, and it is permissible for someone else to donate it from their own money.
