What is the ruling on using an iron rod to expel a jinn from the body of an afflicted person, and is that considered a miracle (karamah) for the shaykhs?

If the Raqi (exorcist/healer) performs Ruqyah (definition) (exorcism/healing) using the Holy Qur’an or understandable supplications free from Shirk (definition) (polytheism), then this is permissible. However, if he mixes the Qur’an with inserting a rod from one part of the body and exiting it from another without harming the patient, this is among the acts of sorcerers and magicians, known as "eye magic," where observers are made to imagine an event that did not occur. It is obligatory to avoid seeking treatment from anyone who performs such acts.
