Is a father entitled to prevent his son from changing his personal name if the name is incompatible with his surroundings and causes him problems and ridicule?

Firstly: The Prophet's guidance (peace be upon him) to choose a good name and change a bad one is confirmed, especially if the name is a source of ridicule or mockery, or if it contains a Sharia violation. Some scholars have considered this to be a right of the child upon his father.

Secondly: The son who is bothered by his name should explain to his father the harm he experiences and the Prophet's guidance (peace be upon him) in this regard. The son must persuade his father with gentleness and kind dialogue, because changing the name is not disobedience to his father, even if the father does not approve of the change.
