If the wife is disobedient (nashiz) due to leaving the house without her husband's permission and seeking divorce without a valid reason, the husband is permitted to pressure her (عَضْل) so that she may ransom herself with money in exchange for her divorce. However, if he divorces her without the condition of her forfeiting any of her rights, then she is entitled to her full mahr (dowry) and all her rights.
