Is it obligatory to forbid someone who is reading the Quran while in a state of major ritual impurity (junub), or should one leave them, hoping that Allah guides them?

It is forbidden for a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) to recite the Qur’an with the intention of worship. However, reciting it with the intention of remembrance (dhikr) and supplication (du’a), such as reciting Ayat al-Kursi before sleeping, or for ruqyah (exorcism/healing), and similar purposes, is permissible. Imam Malik explicitly stated the permissibility for a junub person to recite one or two verses when sleeping or seeking refuge, not with the intention of recitation (tilawah). Therefore, young people should be advised to maintain their prayers and warned against reciting the Qur’an while junub with the intention of tilawah. However, if it is with the intention of dhikr, there is no objection.
