Should the wife be informed about a contagious sexually transmitted disease that might affect the fetus and marital life, taking into account divine concealment (ستر الله), and the possibility of divorce and social ostracism, or should the matter be kept secret while attempting to avoid infection?

You should have informed your wife about your illness before marriage. Since you have repented, we ask Allah to accept your repentance for what preceded it. Live courageously and with trust in Allah's decree and destiny. Be patient with what Allah has ordained for you, and remember that calamities expiate sins. Continue with your treatment and supplicate for healing and for the protection of your family. Be diligent in seeking times when supplications are answered. Do not despair of Allah’s mercy, and seek the means for healing, for every illness has a cure. Drink plenty of Zamzam water over which ruqyah (definition) has been recited, and use black seed and honey. Give much in charity, maintain your morning and evening remembrances, and repeat "Hasbi Allahu la ilaha illa Huwa, alaihi tawakkaltu, wa Huwa Rabbul Arshil-Adheem" (Allah is sufficient for me; there is no god but He. In Him I have placed my trust, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne) seven times in the morning and in the evening. Be diligent in performing four rak'ahs of prayer at the beginning of the day, and supplicate with the prescribed prayers for lifting calamities. We advise you not to engage in intercourse now; this can be justified to your wife. Be keen on pleasing her through foreplay and treating her kindly.
