What is the ruling on marrying a girl who took a usurious loan to prepare for her wedding?

A loan with interest is usury (riba), and it is one of the seven destructive sins. Your fiancée must repent by returning the original amount without any increase, based on Allah's saying: "O you who have believed, fear Allah and give up what remains [due to you] of interest, if you should be believers. And if you do not, then be informed of a war [against you] from Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you may have your principal – [thus] you do no wrong, nor are you wronged." You must also change the reprehensible act. If you hope to influence her, then marry her. If not, then expect that she will not repent, so the advice is to threaten her with breaking off the engagement. If she repents, then it is good; otherwise, do not marry her, for religiosity is the most important criterion for choosing a wife, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "A woman is married for four things: for her wealth, for her lineage, for her beauty, and for her religion. So, win the religious woman, and you will prosper." By insisting on the sin, she becomes disobedient (fasiqah).
