Is it permissible to continue reciting the Quran upon hearing the barking of a dog, or does that constitute a degradation of the Quran?

What is prescribed upon hearing a dog bark is to seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded it. Then, one should continue reading, as the persistence of the barking does not constitute a desecration of the Qur'an.
