Is it permissible to give an English translation of the Holy Qur’an to a non-Muslim colleague who requests it, knowing that it is not permissible for a non-believer to touch the Muṣḥaf?

There is no harm in giving an English translation of the Holy Qur’an to your colleague. Non-believers are prohibited from touching the Holy Qur’an, and the translation is not the Qur’an itself; rather, it is an interpretation of it. The Qur’an is the Arabic word revealed to our Master Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. Therefore, reading the translation is not forbidden for those in a state of ritual impurity (junub), menstruating women, or non-believers.
