Why do the Jews say: "Ezra is the son of God"?

The reason for the Jews' claim that Ezra is the son of God goes back to his rewriting of the Torah after it was burned and nothing remained of it except what men had memorized. When Ezra returned after God had caused him to die for a hundred years and then resurrected him, and an old woman who knew him regained her sight and they confirmed his identity, the Children of Israel asked him to write the Torah for them. So he went to the place where it was buried, unearthed it, and renewed it for them after two celestial meteors entered his chest, whereupon he recalled the Torah and wrote it. Because of his renewal of the Torah and his fulfilling the command of the Children of Israel, they said: Ezra is the son of God.
